“We have enjoyed our 14 years in the Pearl Building, but with our lease ending this month we have decided to move to the Speedometer Building at 530 NW 11th. This was our warehouse space in the past, but it has been completely transformed! The new showroom will be bright, efficient and and up-to-date. We will be opening in May and we are excited to be introducing several new lines at that time.” – Curt Jantz, Co-owner

Thanks to a “snafu” at the Post Office, a large percentage of our Annual Sale postcards didn’t make it to their intended destination. Yes, we’re frustrated, but we can try and console ourselves with a “best laid plans of mice and men” pep-talk. In other words, we’ll get over it.
But what does this mean to you? Well, we’re extending our Annual Sale until Sunday, October 3rd to make sure everyone gets a chance to experience these once-a-year bargains on fine rugs. Every rug in our showroom is on sale from 30 – 70 off! So, hurry in before it’s really too late.
These oversize postcards for our Annual Rug Sale are going out now, so please check your mailbox. This is the biggest sale of the year at Madison Millinger. It lasts through September 26th and then it’s gone! Until next Fall at least… Didn’t get a postcard? Please join our mailing list here.

Explore our huge showroom today, and take home a beautiful new rug for your home at the best prices of the year! Madison Millinger is open every day during the Annual Sale, including Sundays — we hope to see here you soon!
*First come, first served. Once a rug is sold it’s gone, so shop early for the best selection! The Annual Rug Sale ends has been extended to Sunday, October 3rd.
Madison Millinger and fine rug-maker Lapchi are donating this beautiful handmade wool runner to the Cascade AIDS Project’s (CAP) Annual Art Evening and Auction. The runner will be raffled along with this incredible red leather chair by Camrich from our sister store, JD Madison.
The not-to-be-missed annual event, sponsord by Portland Monthly is one of CAP’s biggest (and most fun) fundraiser’s of the year! The evening includes dinner with selections from some of Portland’s best restaurants, silent and live art auctions and a live performance from the incomparable Cirque Du Soleil. Visit the CAP Art Auction website for more information on how you can help CAP, and and maybe win some great home furnishings!
All funds raised support the vital work of Cascade AIDS Project. Our mission is to lead efforts to prevent new HIV infections, care for people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, educate communities to eliminate stigma and shame and advocate for immediate action in combating the pandemic.

Hand-woven rugs have been “green” long before the concept was even thought of. Our rugs are made entirely by hand with virtually no machinery. Both the wool of the pile and the cotton of the foundation are completely renewable and readily available. The fibers are combed by hand and spun by hand using a foot pedal for power. All natural vegetal dyes are often used and the rugs are woven and finished all by hand.

The Pinnacle of Recyclability
Hand-woven rugs also provide the ultimate recycling opportunity; they last for decades and therefore can be passed on for generations. A refreshing idea in today’s overly-disposable world.
In early January, fine rug-maker Woven Legends invited 12 of the premier dealers around the county to their Philadelphia headquarters to view their latest rugs. The limited collection was made available to the dealers on a lottery basis, and Madison Millinger had the good fortune of being selected as the second dealer to choose rugs from the incredible collection. These beautiful and very special rugs have now arrived in Portland, and you can be among the first to view these rugs by visiting our showroom now. These hand-woven rugs are all one-of-a-kind, and won’t stay in-stock long!
